The National Ready Mixed Concrete Association has named Richard Fulda of North Dakota-based Dickinson Ready Mix as the 2024 Ready Mixed Concrete Delivery Professional Driver of the Year. A panel of industry judges selected him from a near record number of NRMCA producer member-nominated candidates. Judges recognize Fulda for his career achievements, professionalism, driving competency, customer service skills, plus an extraordinary safety record across a 36-year career with no on-the-job accidents nor at-fault rejected loads. Leading into the NRMCA achievement, he earned North Dakota Ready Mix and Concrete Products 2023 Driver of the Year honors.
Judges also named two 2024 Driver of the Year runners-up: 28-year veteran Raymond Barrera of Superior Materials/VCNA, Detroit and 11-year veteran Carlos Palacios of Chaney Enterprises, Spotsylvania, Va. The NRMCA Truck Mixer Manufacturers Bureau will present the Driver of the Year and runners-up with $5,000 and $1,500 checks during the group’s annual convention, March 18-21 in Tampa, Fla. Concrete Products cosponsors the program with the NRMCA Safety, Environmental and Operations Committee.
